If you’re looking for a studio that feels welcoming, well-equipped and easy to work in (without the clinical feel), this is a space designed with both creativity and comfort in mind.

The Light Room gives you a dedicated shooting area within a spacious, open setting, with plenty of room to work, regroup, and host your clients comfortably.

With its vaulted ceiling, natural light and open feel, the space allows for a wide range of setups – from simple natural light portraits to more complex lighting arrangements.

You’ll have full private use during your booking, so you can work without interruption and shape the space exactly how you need it.

Indoor & outdoor options

The Light Room also offers access to a beautiful outdoor deck and garden space, giving you the option to step outside for natural light portraits or a change of scene.

Just a short walk away, you’ll also find Linlithgow Loch, green spaces and cobbled streets – perfect for adding variety to your shoot.

You’re very welcome to move between locations during your booking.

Pricing

The studio is available to hire 7 days a week, from 9am to 10pm.

Rates

  • £30 per hour

    Regular bookings and membership-style arrangements are also available if you'd like to use the space more frequently.

  • £95 half day

    Perfect for slower-paced sessions, multiple setups or giving yourself space to create without rushing.

  • £185 full day

    For bigger shoots, content days or when you want the freedom to take your time and settle into the space.

Included in your booking

  • Tea, coffee and biscuits

    Proper coffee, a steady supply of biscuits, and everything you need to keep yourself (and your clients) happy.

  • Access to equipment (paper backdrops incure a small extra charge)

    Lighting and modifiers are all here for you to use, so you can travel light and create freely.

  • Full private use of the studio space

    While the building is shared with one office worker, the studio space is entirely yours for the duration of your booking, so you can work, reset and host your clients without interruption.

Important information for your booking:

The studio works comfortably with groups of up to 20 people depending on setup
Any breakages are the responsibility of the hirer
Hirers are asked to leave the space tidy and as they found it
The space is shared within a wider property used by other businesses, so please be mindful of noise levels
For messy shoots (e.g. paint, food styling, etc.), please get in touch in advance
